Abstract : The research aims at shedding the light on the internet participation, as a part of information technology era, in building up the information bridge , interaction between the student and her professor ,providing the educational materials and establishing an educational site on the world wide web (internet) to learn the technical methods to operate the natural leather . It also aims at measuring the effectiveness of the educational site, on the world wide web ( internet),in teaching students concepts and skills concerned with operating the natural leather technology and switching students from learning through reception to self direction learning. The research specimen comprised 14 female students, at the Clothes and Textile Department, Faculty of Home Economics, King Abdelaziz University, who study the curriculum of "Clothes Artistic Applications". The research concluded that there are differences of statistical indication between students' average of pre and post learning of information and skills included in the educational site in favor of the post application. This indicates the effectiveness of the educational site in learning the technical methods in operating the natural leather. The study recommended directing attention to switching the curricula of clothes and textile to electronic curricula taught through the internet and providing atypical educational environments characterized with modernity, interaction and non synchronization.
